Facilitate with confidence and impact
Immerse yourself in ICA’s 4-day ToP Facilitation Masterclass and learn how to guide groups toward insight, alignment, and action.
Overview
Facilitation is increasingly recognised as a core set of competencies, not just for facilitators but for anyone in a position of leadership and/or working with people. ICA’s Technology of Participation (ToP) methods are recognised as some of the most useful and effective tools for group facilitation. The recent “State of Facilitation 2025” report showed that ToP training is one of the most popular ways in which facilitators improve their skills.
You’ll experience the full range of Technology of Participation (ToP) methods, gaining practical tools and deeper understanding for designing and leading purposeful conversations, building group consensus, and facilitating collaborative planning and decision-making in your own context
What the Masterclass includes
This 4-day intensive combines the core content of both ToP foundational courses into one continuous, 4-day learning journey:
- ToP Group Facilitation Methods (GFM) – 2 days
Learn to structure purposeful, engaging conversations, bring out the wisdom of a group, and guide participants toward shared understanding and clear, practical consensus through the Focused Conversation and Consensus Workshop method. - ToP Participatory Strategic Planning (PSP) – 2 days
Build on your GFM experience to facilitate long-term visioning, strategic thinking, and action planning processes that foster ownership, alignment, and commitment.
By completing this Masterclass, you will gain a robust, field-tested facilitation toolkit for working with teams, organisations, communities, and partnerships, along with practical insights on how to adapt the methods to your own context.

What do participants say about our courses
I highly recommend the Group Facilitation Methods training. My experience in leading workshops has taught me that real learning impact only happens when participants are 100% engaged. That’s why I spent a long time looking for approaches that truly enhance participant involvement in my sessions. And I can say with confidence that Group Facilitation Methods are the best approaches I have ever tried. They work. Proven in practice. You won’t regret it. (Tomaž Stritar, 4MINUTE Business Consulting)
I was extremely satisfied with the Group Facilitation Methods workshop. The trainers presented the method in an exceptionally systematic, clear, and vivid way, which made the learning truly understandable and practically useful. I liked how they connected theory with real examples and created a space in which we could try the method ourselves. The workshop gave me clear structures, concrete tools, and a lot of inspiration for working with groups. I really warmly recommend it to everyone who wants to lead group processes more confidently, clearly, and effectively.
The Participatory Strategic Planning workshop was extremely useful. The method provides an incredibly clear and at the same time very participatory structure that enables a group to jointly shape a vision, determine priorities, and develop actionable steps. The trainers led the process in a very transparent, vivid way with many practical examples, which made quick understanding and immediate use possible. I recommend it to everyone who wants to lead groups through a strategic process in a way that is inclusive, clear, and truly results-oriented.
